Retail Imaging will grow our customers' sales and profits by offering innovative hardware, software, call center and bench repair solutions that exceed expectations.
We seek to provide "best-in-class" products and services through a superior customer value proposition.
Retail Imaging was founded in 2000 by Brad Eamon to provide comprehensive technical and marketing support for the in-store mini-lab program at Fred Meyer stores (125 locations). Retail Imaging supported Fred Meyer with a dedicated team of Field Technicians who ordered and managed lab inventory and supplies, trained lab personnel, monitored environmental controls, performed preventative maintenance on lab equipment and maintained all photo lab equipment in good working order. Our Fred Meyer Field Technicians were supported by a call center and marketing team in our Portland, Oregon headquarters.

In 2002 and 2003, we expanded our field service to include Hi-School Pharmacy in Washington state and King Soopers/City Markets in Colorado (adding 120 field service locations). Our field service mission was to build dedicated teams that only supported a single customer and serviced any photo equipment on-site, regardless of manufacturer. By de-coupling service from "the original equipment manufacturer", we enabled retailers to make the equipment selection that best achieved their objectives and be confident that Retail Imaging would handle all of the training and maintenance issues.

In 2004, we began to manufacture custom digital photo terminals (DPT) to meet the strategic needs of Costco, King Soopers and Fred Meyer. Our second generation Digital In-put Stations (DIS) enable customers to integrate kiosks seamlessly into the retail counter profile of their store or warehouse. Retail Imaging has sold over 3,000 customized kiosks in the past five years to our select list of customers.

In 2006, we expanded field service to include Duane Reade Drug Stores in the New York City area (110 locations) and Rite Aid Drugstores (more than 5,000 locations) headquartered in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.

In an effort to better support Rite Aid, we significantly expanded the size and support capability of our call center. In addition, we began providing bench repair services for dye-sublimation printers, film scanners and virtually all OEM brands of photo kiosks. In 2007, the call center expanded to support all makes/models of photo processing equipment. This includes Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Duane Reade, Costco and Rite Aid, as well as supporting specific equipment such as Rimage and DNP. What started as a simple photo field service company had now become an all inclusive in-store photo support organization. Services we provide to our customers are:

    Custom Manufacturing and Assembly
    Product Distribution
    Bench repair
    Call center technical support
    Field technical support
    Inventory and parts management

In 2008, we added consumer support for the photo-websites of Costco.com and Wal-Mart Canada, built by Photo Channel (PNI). This is in addition to the photo website support we already provided to Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Smith’s Marketplace and Hi-School Pharmacy.

At the end of the first quarter of 2009, Retail imaging was providing field technical service for 600 in-store minilabs, call center and consumer photo-site support for 7,000 in-store minilabs and device repair for 3,500 in-store minilabs. In addition, our custom photo kiosks and servers were present in 1,500 in-store minilabs. By meeting the needs of our amazing customers, we have grown from an idea and a business plan into the largest independent photo-support company in the United States.
